I have removed about 10 sets for customers over the years. They always thank me. And if your not into experimenting you dont really know if they are doing a good thing for you or not. your just assuming they work. I think mark44 on here removed them due to me saying this, he was surprised about...
ok all good.
When you block the holes liek that the carbs will go rich very rich as the diaphram will push down and open the needle and seat.
It will not work, drilling a hole will fix the issue.
And reed stuffers as good as they sound do actually take away from the engine, major losses with...
I reckon chuckie is right
Also when you get upside down like that the fuel in the tank cools rapidly due to the water and due to its cooling it reduces in volume and sucks fuel up the tank breather.

The sxr does not have the punch of the bottom to do what you want in that hull
And they are expensive to make them go hard enough for free ride
Cutting back will allow you to reload the pump faster. it also loads the engine more as there is less area for the water to change direction as it comes off the prop to the pump veins.

more reliable
water injection in a surf boat waste of time in my mind, something else to go wrong
flow control valve , if it makes you think you are going that much better then its working. I have found the money spent on fuel in the surf will make a bigger difference to your riding than a flow control valve
they have a relay in them , that tells it stay off when you hit the stop button. the relay is broken
bummer, just ride.
would be awesome for racing if you hit the stop button by accident it just starts back up
