What carbs are on it.
When it runs out of punch what is it doing. Does it go flat and not rev anymore ?? or does it start to load up and shake.
Has the boat always felt like this or is it a new thing

Im not saying these are the pistons but its a place to start. I doubt if wdk got the pistons made but just sourced them from another engine
the leaner running down low is due to them having one less progression port, Like you suggested a lower pop off is all thats needed to make it right. I have not had an issue with them up top. I always reverse jet my carbs to get good hit through the mid range, But yes your right reverse jetting...
I didnt realise your was ported last time I spoke to you you said it was just a clean up.
The enhancer has alot of spark energy and will run a big engine your epic doesnt have the same current and when the load comes on it will struggle.
I believe that wires are more than just dasa they are...
You do a lot of hours mardon. while a stroker is cool and will make more power they will not handle the hours you do.
A stock stroke is the one for you. go an x-scream there is more power in the dasa stuff but you have to work to get it out of them. The x-scream bolts together and will give good...
If you port it correctly you will always go through. It is fine and very secure if you prepare the area correctly.
I have engines that I have ported over 10 years ago with the epoxy still in there with no issues
Wish it had worked for me
ended up pulling the epic out and going to an msd enhancer, Goes well now.
Spent the last 6 mths changing parts to try and get the epic work, turned out it was the epic.
Bit of a shame to down money for the ignition plus the coils etc I replaced
take every part of rubber you can get out of them, then heat them up in the oven, when they are warm then drop them in to a crc, wd40 solution this will cool the carb and draw the cutting compound into the threads. let them sit for a while in the solution and try again.
I have had great results with the oem carbs. Some people dont recommend them that's fine that's up to them.
All 760 carbs are 2nd hand and so it makes them hard to sell new carbs Im not sure this is why other people dont recommend them.
Personally I can get a cleaner hit out of the stock oem...
your lows are to small and your highs are to big
your pop is to high causing the fuel to start flowing later. lower your pop off to about 20 psi put a 125 low in it and 115 high
Dont just put a bigger low in it and say it didnt work
you need to reverse jet it correctly and these things hit hard
