The cases are different as well and make more power.
You could with work and machining put the 760 cylinder on but you would have to take the cases apart.
And since you have done that you almost there to putting decent cases on it
I was looking through ebay and saw this

Big bore sleeves fitted, no actual port matching done or anything like that.
Have a look at the...
I have never seen a metal reed break on a yamaha.
I only use v-force reeds in engines I build. I have found boysen to wear out way to fast for the dollars spent
There is plenty out there that run no where as good as a stocker.
Some of the stuff I have seen is crazy. Not all porting is the same and not all tuning is the same
you get what you pay for
I wouldnt be setting my limit to 5000
I would set it to normal limit you are going to use.
You need to make sure you get on it a little bit other wise it will heat up on the exhaust side and not the intake and you get strange wear marks on the pistons.
You want a uniform heat or close to it on...
I havent used a power factor pipe so I dont have a curve for them.
But I was told they are similar to the type 9 and I do have a curve for them. I have also heard from lee stone they were making more power with the b-pipe.
The ignitions I used to do http://www.hpi.be/applist.htm did and I would assume these ignitions do the same
I used to use the power jet circuit to turn on the water injection until I figured out what you could do with a decent curve on the right carb jets
Your welcome d-roc, happy to have helped. I guess you could run the advance for a bit longer its stems from my racing days.
holding it to 4750 on the dry pipes used to eat at the o-rings so I pulled it out a bit earlier to stop this issue. On a b-pipe holding it on a bit longer would be fine as...
Boris it has a major effect on the power band of your engine. Up to a certain point the sooner the advance comes in the sooner/ harder the power band hits.
When you can combine the advanced timing with correct jetting for the curve then the gain is increased even more.
Im not going to talk for other engine builders but this is what I run on my engines that I build for my customers.
Have a look at the curve atp posted above its got higher advance than my curve so Im not sure what curve you got from them.
You need to also understand that when you dont have the...
