Super Jet Best F/A setup for surf?

I guess I should update this, but stock would never fit my setup, the guy before had some crazy adapter for the stock 38, to go to a 4 bolt FA setup, that was stripped out allen heads, and they are set at a different spacing that would align with the stock FA, so I wound up making my own design. Its at the shop now being made, and it uses the stock FA screens, and is similar to the stock single carb FA, just aluminum, and with a lower profile

Stock twin carb airfilter. Use a 760 base for the filter as they come stock with 44s. Never anywater in your engine then

an engine builder put on here to run stock air box with out the metal screens, anyone else doing this.

I would be scared with no screens, with all the washers, nuts, and zip tie chunks I have floating around, who knows when one will find a way into a carb

Get a hold of motozachl in here....he just bought a big bore square from Michigan and whoever did the hood seems to have done it right! I am sure he will give you some pics.....but he needs stock F/A' also.....he gets some water in on big waves days or doing subs in flat......

IMO even if you can get those pile of crap AM F/A's to be water resistant (outerwears) both of them are high cost for sure replacements and they WILL eventually fall apart!

This is true, its really not that bad because the spiderski just plain sucked in water.....but I can still tell some moisture is getting in the carbs from water sloshing around
