650sx pole bolts are perfect. They don't stick out the other side at all. Mine hasn't come loose at all and if you want more or less tension all you need is one wrench.
Homemade footholds like that are the way to go, a little time and effort and you get exactly what you want. Spend the $100 you save on gas. Lookin real good man!
I want to stick with the higher pop off also because I have had **** luck in the past trying to tune using low pop off's to my liking. It never seems to be consistent running a low pop off and power delivery is never as smooth as I'd like it. Is it pretty much standard to run a bigger low then...
When I did my footholds and scupper before I sealed it off I used soap and water and blew into the holes to try and find leaks. Around the exhaust and bond line were real bad on the inside of the hull around the input shaft was bad too. If you kept the trey under pressure no water could get in.
What jets/pop off should I be running in dual 46's?
motor:
-83mm Ported 61x ports raised a bit and the sleeve on the intake side is notched
-ported 62t cases
-b-pipe limited
-rad valves
-stock timing (might do a slight static advance)
-low compression like 155lbs on a decent gauge
-prok's...
Awesome, I am so pumped to see this thing. It's finally gonna be able to pull me out of the water without the burning the prop. Det, what are you doin with the trim?!
The 650sx is a good ski. Its light and has decent power when compared to other kawi's. Prop, scoop grate, bars, and a 44mm sbn is all you really need to have a fun ski. The 650 motor feels more responsive to me than any other stock kawis. People rag on the 650 I think mostly cus their not too...
I have the standard 4x8 trailer with bunks bolted down to a sheet of plywood and astro turfed over. Fits 2 standups and a box without a problem. It's also really low so if you tow with a car you don't have to back in too far.
just pulled it appart to check the jetting
150 high
102.5 low?!
1.5n&s and a black spring
I know the 46 is supposed to pull better on the low (per group k), but a 102.5?
This carb was brand new there was still white grease around the shaft on the inside and no gas in the resevoir...
I just picked up a brand new 46 on ebay for $70 I need to hog out the holes so I can make it fit. Does any one know what the jetting differences are between a 46 and a 44??? Bigger? Smaller?
How did you guys go about widening the manifold and head pipe and keeping the manifolds lined up?? Does anyone sell the bigger gaskets? Mine is at 44mm. How far can I go before i break into the water jacket?
