    new light weight flywheel superjet

Aluminum is lighter than Titanium. If you look at the lightweight ones we have available today and you change to titanium, the weight will only go up, unless he can make it significantly thinner. Right?

gettin ahold of the new 24-7

Or how about letting Mark post here to share his comments. Or, take it to PWCToday where he can post. Otherwise, this will just become a one-sided 24/7 bashing session, something I recall that you wanted to eliminate from this site.

    total loss mounting

How about this? I gotta give props to crammit442 for making this for me. I'm using a single channel setup and decided to use the OEM coil instead of MSD's. I also have the Jet Ski Solutions terminals on it. So far, it appears to be running fine, but I only have an hour or two on it. The...

    62T FFP exhaust manifold on a 61X

The 62T FPP manifold has bigger bolt holes (10mm) than the 61X FPP manifold (8mm). Aside from some minor port matching to line the manifold up with the cylinder (something you should do in every assembly) there will be no problem using the 62T FPP manifold on the 61X cylinder. Since the...

gettin ahold of the new 24-7

I spoke with Mark yesterday and he is really out of it (on pain killers) because of a pinched nerve in his back. I know that he is in bad shape because he is always telling me about the latest carbon work he has done and yesterday he didn't even mention it. A lot of people on here really...

    Rager Up For Grabs !

I know that Mark would do a great job at organizing this. He really wants to be accepted by all of you. I have seen and been amazed at how much he has done as 24/7. I think that a lot of the guys up here in Jersey have also stopped by there and are also impressed with his work. If he puts...

    Looking for allen bolts

You can also use OEM Yamaha bedplate bolts. They are nickel-plated (chrome) and as corrosion-resistant if not more than stainless. Also, they will not react as quickly with aluminum like stainless does (and they are cheap and easy to find). I believe there is one on every 650, 701, and 760...

    year old gass

Get some fresh fuel (same stuff) and do a quick sniff comparison. If there is a notable difference in smell then you should dump the nine-month old stuff. I think it will be fine to run though, although it may have lost some of the volatiles, especially if it was stored in a plastic...

    Tear it apart?

Do the kid a favor and get it running. Wouldn't your eyes have lit up if your older brother handed you a real jet ski when you were 12? He won't forget that day for the rest of his life.

    superjet?

I'd go with the modded one, especially if it has the b-pipe. That's a $500 investment that you'll soon want anyway. It looks like the pipe rubbed through the upper body. That's no big deal. If it is still rubbing, put a piece of turf between it and thehull. If I read the description...

Blaster engine swap - engine will not align

In fact, you can see in your first picture that there is about 1/4" of shiny shaft showing. I am almost certain that this section was previously inside the housing and is freshly pushed out. Edit: Oops. Just reread superramjet's post.

Blaster engine swap - engine will not align

The short shaft may have pulled forward when pulling the motor out last time or if you had the pump out and put it in, the end of the drive shaft may have pushed it forward. I had this happen to me last year. Like superramjet said, tap it back and you should be good to go.

300/440/550 Can anybody ID a PJS motor for me?

PM Jammer on PWCToday. He will be interested and willing to help (and he knows a bit about PJS stuff too).

website to find higher octane fuels?

If you have race tracks in your area (oval, dirt, drag, motorcycle) I guarantee that you will find that the local speedshops and motorcycle stock VP or similar fuels by the can or barrell. Also, the tracks, themselves, will likely have pumps and stores that sell it.

waterdawg hood or water craft factory hood ?

I have a WF hood that has been good to me (of course, I self-admittedly am no where near the abusive rider like many of you). I think Mark (24-7) is still making the SR-71 hood. Here's a snap shot of a visual carbon 24-7 hood that I took a couple weeks ago at his shop. It was one of his...

billet stock air filter adapter kit

Brian, I'm figuring that this works on both, 4-hole stock stle Mikunis as well as pressed-in airhorn (Full Spectrum) style. If so, nice idea. Also, I assume that they have a 48mm bore? The OEM assemblies are only 46mm bore.

Is big bore really worth the cost??

Is it worth it? It depends on a lot of things, but if you are willing to take your 61X to the max bore (and not have any overbores, then I would say that it is not worth it). All you would gain is a few cc's and you likely will not notice that gain. I would consider a stroker crank with...
