Re the case stuffers. It was proven along time ago that increasing the pressure inside your cases didn't help so much as it was the pipe causing the low pressure up top that was making the fuel air mixture move up the transfers

If you want to know for sure about reed stuffers then try them and let us know your findings

If you sand blast the case first then put it in when the cases are warm you will not have an issue unless you let it sit with water on the crank and corrosion gets in there. A stock engine will be fine with the timing turned up. A retune will give it more as well. Bore the nozzle

Personally I haven't found a better carb than novi.

Have a look at the stock yammi versus the msd and you will see how much more hit it would have down low

The hx is a knife in the water it will go where every you aim and lean it. I used to lean on the inside rail at the back of the blasters and stop them turning in. My 8mm stroker use to suck the hood down on a stock 2008 with pipe breather as well. That tells you that there is not enough flow in a stock hood for a big engine.
