Not sure who is doing your porting then. The yamaha has a bad port time issue that can get some real gains by porting correctly. If it's just a mild cleanup then your not going to get the gains your after.

Have a look here I go into it in depth...
No I think it was because groupk said they were a good thing years ago and so every one was wanting to run them. R&d made them because they were losing sales. Some as the big bores. Dan lamey didn't want to do it because he knows it's not technically right for a two stroke. But he had to...
Just because they sell it doesn't mean it actually works. Sometimes they just make things to sell. Create a market. Remember the blowsion carbon air filter
Yup I know they do. I found this out about ten years ago. Was trying to figure out where all the power had gone in a ski I was tuning. Took the stuffers out and gained everywhere. I have a theory behind it but that's another story
Re the case stuffers. It was proven along time ago that increasing the pressure inside your cases didn't help so much as it was the pipe causing the low pressure up top that was making the fuel air mixture move up the transfers
If you sand blast the case first then put it in when the cases are warm you will not have an issue unless you let it sit with water on the crank and corrosion gets in there.
I use jb weld and have found it to be very good. The ramps have nothing to do with stuffing but more to do with aiming the...
The hx is a knife in the water it will go where every you aim and lean it. I used to lean on the inside rail at the back of the blasters and stop them turning in. It was great fun as soon as they tried to turn it would lift the back and they would spin out like patrol officer doing the pit manuevour
Im not sure if I qualify to comment i won the over all aussie title on a 787 hx in 2008.
But i sold it not long after when I gave up racing them. I have a blaster now and this is the 2nd I have had since then.
Hx are fun and awesome on the track but not so flash for much else
My 8mm stroker use to suck the hood down on a stock 2008 with pipe breather as well. That tells you that there is not enough flow in a stock hood for a big engine. ON all my race boats I used to leave out the pole seal for the steering cable etc and take out the fuel and choke etc and leave them...
I dont have one at the moment well not one thats going. But I used to offer it to anyone that had not ridden one before. Just take the little one it will be fine. Every one thinks the little one is easier.
Dasa knows physics he also knows marketing as well. Some clown has decided that a single is better knowing half about something and convinced his mates because it runs better than their badly tuned 38s. Suddenly there is a market
