The reason for that extra rpm is not just for a number but so as your riding through the chop it doesnt bounce on the limiter and you get a smoother and easier ride. plus the 6m6 one is very low

Did you skim the cylinder, are you still using those gree head gaskets

All good, i used to race one and found they turned inside a sxr. sponsons help alot on them for crossing wake also hull extensions as suggested before

do you want it to break through the chop better or do you want it to out turn an sxr. A 2008 will out turn a sxr anytime

Buy an 08 plus model and it will out handle an sxr

For starters clean the head off and fit a proper headgasket, The green ones are crap with coating of cream. They never hold back water !!!!!!

Its close but you are losing torque by running a small low and such a high pop off

A stroker is always better until the point were you start going undersquare. But your not just comparing equal cylinders here. The tpe is light years ahead in regard to cylinder design. Can you guys stop pumping up cast cylinders, its pushing the price back up

If your doing your top end and all the rest is ok, then richen it up till you lose top end. Put a tacho in it and wind the highs in until you get the best rpm. Then fatten it up 1/8 of a turn it will pull hard like that. Thats just a basic way of doing it
