It's crazy that they have to be stock. I would take an XL700. I Bet a 1200suv would guzzle fuel and be impossible to maneuver. No way would I take a 4 Stroke or FI.
Took another look. Even if the chamber fits the stinger will be so close to the bulkhead that it will either go through it or the exhaust hose will have to make a crazy sharp bend.
Thats how the OEM SeaDoo one was I put in. The one I put in my xl800 went in just like an OEM stainless one. I wonder how the Delrin ones SBT sells are.
Does the bigger stock 760/701 62t exhaust fit in a superjet? I can't find anywhere someone has confirmed or denied this. I'm guessing it does not. Thanks.
I swear by them. I think this is how they should have been done at the factory along with a plastic pump like some Seadoos have. They don't swell and they don't wear on the impeller. The one in my xl800 looks as good as it did last year when I put it in.
Cut them off and use the washers as a template for where to drill the hole. I'm going to do a how to thread for the 08+ quick steer mod this weekend. It Completely transforms the ski.
650sx/x2 nozzles work awesome the ball just goes on the other side. I cut one in half then glassed it to another to make an extended steering nozzle. It looked OEM too I couldn't believe how well it turned out.
Do a nozzle quick steer mod and you will love it even more. It takes all of 10 minutes and it completely changes the ski for the better. Coming back to hit a setup wake all you do is crank the bars and grab throttle and you carve a 180 way faster than you could ever slide around on the old sj.
My problem is not getting into that position its riding away clean. I always end up sinking the nose way too deep then the ski 'bobs' up uncontrollably and I end up tipping over or I have to take a leg out of the tray. The only times I get it right is when I kick my legs out at the last second...
Yeah but it's the position of an after market exhaust vibrating to the side of the motor rather than on the top which causes the cylinder to crack. Ever notice how skis with a pipe tend to vibrate a lot more and also break motor mounts much sooner?
I couldn't believe that either when we sent them a GTI impeller that was totally destroyed and we got one that looked brand new for $24! I can't wait to see this build done the paint should be sick.
Mine and adet16v's both have 185psi. The guage I used reads 145-150 on the older superjets. It is a thinner head gasket. I was so excited when I found this out.
The Epic has a little plastic disc for the lens cover. The water beads up like rain x. It clears off with vibration. We had it facing backwards and it stayed clear. I need a better mount though the shaking will make you sick.
