    nose stab help

Learn them without a setup wake just a slight pre hop than big bunny hop. When I first tried them off setup wakes I would end up doing either a half roll or like a tail stab like your talking about. Then I tried without a wake and it was much easier. You really have to point/rotate your...

    No surf vid

Great riding & video. Where do you have it mounted at? I have an Epic Stealth cam and the quality is not even close to the go pro. But I have zero problems with water droplets on the lens.

    yamaha 650 motor...

My buddy had a Tim Judge ported 6m6 cylinder sleeved and bored out to 81 mm on 61x cases. It ripped way hard. It was used in a blaster I race ski back in the day. I'll have to dig up some pics of the top end.

    yamaha 650 motor...

there is some benefit to the 6m6 cases over the 61x plus you have to buy a new intake and reeds too

    yamaha 650 motor...

The cases need to be bored to accept the bigger sleeves so you need to split them. I think getting the cases bored costs about $50

    yamaha 650 motor...

Ditto Top ends fetch decent money too. 61x or 62t top ends on 6m6 bottoms makes for a cheap snappy motor. Sell the topend and do a frankenstien big bore.

Engine won't plane off at first

No primer all stock. I Just filled it with gas and ran it on the hose then took it to the river. It seems like it needed to be loaded up to fill the fuel lines with fuel.

Engine won't plane off at first

I had this same problem today! I'm fixing up this vxr I got with a trailer so I take it for a test ride. Start it up on the trailer and it runs and idles fine. Idle it out away from shore everything looks fine. Give it some gas and it craps out. Here it wasn't getting fuel I had to 'prime' it...

Engine won't plane off at first

It's a good way to flood the :-):-):-):-) out of your motor or get air in the lines. Sounds like air in the fuel lines. Like everyone else said. I run my primers from the reserve but I put a loop in the fuel line and put the primer t at the bottom of the loop so there is always some fuel trapped...

Craigslist find: Check out what came with my new trailer

I love the snow in the background of that pic. I did notice how well the trailer towed. There was no side to side shimmy like you get with leaf springs. The prickly things are still on the tires too.

Craigslist find: Check out what came with my new trailer

I picked up a mint double shore land'r trailer to haul my 08 SJ & XL800 for $400. It's got the Torsion axles, fat tires, & a center carpeted catwalk. It also came with a cherry '93 VXR & an '89 Waverunner in pieces. I love Craigslist.

how do i install reeds on my 650sx

Alot of people feel stock reeds are best and I agree. I've heard a good solutions is simply flipping the stock reeds over when they get worn. I think the Kawasaki manual recommends this and has clearance specs for when it should be done

how do i install reeds on my 650sx

1/4" drive socket extension is key to doing this, I forget what length but I know I needed at l standard depth 10mm socket and 1/4" drive extension to do this without removing the engine. It's like the ground down open ended wrench needed for installing a b pipe manifold.

    Other crazy idea

Thats what nikasil is. The yamaha 800's, 1200 pv & 1300 motors have this coating on the cylinder walls. It reduces friction aids cooling and prolongs life! No need for an iron sleeve they just coat the aluminum.
