I love the older "J" & "I" (hollow hubs) "J"'s about 1.8 .lbs and a Skat's 12/17 is a about 2.5
This makes different in throttle response. Kind of like a lighten flywheel.
I understand where you are coming from but that's why those pieces are removable. Not every ones the same. It's not just the money why they make different ride plates & intake grates. Different riders. Different styles. one hull. That's what I was thinking.

Here's a couple pictures of the Trim tabs. We have a hard time keep a hulls instock that's why we don't advertise. Even though the hull is 3 inches shorter it handles very well. I guess most guys are leaving the hull extensions off.
Basically you can tune the ski for your liking.
TKO is made in Brazil. TKO has a new hull is called "Flex". It a great hull weighting about 80-85 pounds. We have more coming in the states but they are gone faster than we can advertise for TKO. I don't even have one for myself.:bs2:

45 lbs. is the dem weight. The SXR hoods are much larger than our SJ hoods. Long & wide. Fedex, UPS and all other shipping companies go with the greater amount first. We don't go crazy with a over size box either. There's a couple inches on each side and that's it. We are sending these hoods...
That I guess was the very first prototype. That things bigger than the one I rode. The EFI helps a lot for the bottom end. There more to come with these things.
