Number 8 oval head SS screws.hey crab did you use screws, or small threaded bolt with washer
Yes they are precurved, and very close to the actuall hull shape.Hey crab, the new sponsons from surfjetlouie seem to have a bit of a curve in them allowing them to sit flush against the side of the hull. Is that true or are the pics playing tricks with my eyes?

YOur kidding right?:Banane26: Thats nothing, the real tubbies almost take 2 people to bend them around. Find your spot and secure the front, then drill and screw the back (mockup). They will pull in with ease. Only thing I noticed with mine is the right side was not trimmed exactly to match the left, hit it with a belt sander and wa-la.Hmm, i just received mine today and they don't seem to follow the shape of the hull at all. When one end is flush the other sticks out about 1/2".
I wonder if something changed????

It did. I used mostly 1 inch, and 2 inch everywhere else. Next time the motor is out I will take the dremmel and grind them off.I just went and measure; it was ~1" off the hull in front and ~3/8" at the rear. Having not messed with Blowsions product I don't have any frame of reference.
Okay, now I feel better. I am able to press the ends in by myself. I read that you used #8 oval head screws but what length screws did you use? What about the back end where the last screw could come through the foot well?
At least 1/4 inch, that reminds me to cut it off.So you used 1" around the footwell and it came through the other side. How much? I just turf'd the ski and don't want to screw that up or stick the side of my foot with the tip of the screw.

He is right, real tubbies are a huge PIA to install on an X2.
This was a warm day...lol. No chine walk, just wanted to roll and dump you if you weren't paying attention, turns like a mofo however......:Banane09:looks a little chilly?
rollover? = chine walking side to side?
