For now, didn't know Louie had them in the works, and for the price its just hard to beat. He did a nice job on the design, as they are pre curved and almost just lay down. They will need to be foamed on the back. Time is the one commodity we all seem to be short on.

I bought a set for my build (http://www.x-h2o.com/threads/29480 ) as well. Fit pretty good and the price was unbeatable.

Crab, how far down on the hull are you mounting yours? I did mine almost flush with the outer chine and now wondering if I should have left it up a little. Not sure how this is going to affect the handling (turning).
I'll have pics shortly.

I plan to hold them down as well, here is a pic I took of Pete's just before we left on monday. They seem to have more flexibility as to where you can put them since they are made a bit different.

Yeah, I have mine much lower than that. I just found the best spot which followed the contour of the hull. The end is about 5" past the open footwell.
Oh well, too late now. I laid some epoxy filler on the edges to blend them in.

Hopefully I'll be making an appearance at Daytona next year. Looks like you guys had a frickin blast.

On carefull rethought, I will probably hold them up a bit similar to Petes, they work very well on his.

Right now as it stands, I will be 7 3/4 from the footwell, and 1 inch up in the front from the bottom of the hull.

I changed a little, dropped down a bit after taking in to account my modded front hull. Pete's are about even with the stock hull in the front if you feel or look at it, mine hull is almost even with the outer chine. So, I raised up a bit in front, but not huge, pics to follow.:smashfreakB:

Last one, you can clearly see the reshaped hull and the added tubbies and why I held them up a bit.
