Wives/Girlfriends

This thread has made me realize just how lucky I am this time around in relationships. I took my girlfriend out on a standup (my buddies SX-R) for our 2nd date...she said she wanted to try the things I was really interested in, I told her that it's OK if she hates it and that she gets credit just for trying. She loved it, and we're getting married June 6th. :)

She rides my SN now...and the funniest thing is that she's always talking chit about how she's better than me and gonna be busting backflips before me, etc. :) She also is always asking me if she can help work on them too, and she helped me put in my holds and turf last summer. She's got two little girls (2 & 5) from a previous relationship, and they like to stand on the skis on the trailer and pretend they're riding. The 5 year old finally got to the point at the end of last season where she'd let me fire it up without being scared, and the grin on her face was adorable! Dang. I'm lucky...it's funny how life works out!

I was into skis way before I ever met my wife so she knew what she was getting into when she married me. My wifes had several (standup) skis herself and although she rides fairly well she doesn’t have the love for the sport like I do. She hates it when I spend time on the X but she’s pretty tolerant of my riding time (I ride a lot) and believes I need my hobby so I can’t complain.

There is a time for everything.....and Jetsking has its time every weekend. To be honest with you I want to spend the time riding as far away from everything including her. She understand and knows that "I need" that time for myself. I also spend time with the family every weekend.....like I said, there is a time for everything.

my wife will not ride, she knows that it's not a short phase in my life, and she resents every minute I spend riding or wrenching. If she thought she could get away with setting my ski on fire she would. She gets pissed whenever any of our friends act interested in ski's. She hates X-h2o too.

I have much respect for your wife Tim. It’s unfortunate I did not see her in Daytona this year; I imagine she could have enjoyed herself Friday and Saturday night. Out of all the photos I have seen posted to the X, I rank hers among the very top (even though they are not of skis).

My home away from home.
I'm real excited this year, cuz the wife wants to learn to ride the RN. She mentions it more and more as summer gets closer. Sat she helped me turf the Blaster, that was real cool. We're both excited for this years camping / ski trips. It's going to be an epic summer!

My wife appreciates what I do when it comes to jet skiing, it's the dirt bike that scares the crap out of her. She never complains about anything cause she is the shizzznit. She also does all my laundry and makes dinner. I hit the proverbial "100 million jackpot" when I met/married her.

Sounds like the wives are fairly tolerant (at least the ones who spoke up). :)
My wife loves her blaster and her total loss group k big bore square nose. She popped her ear drum twice last year trying to barrel roll... Hopefully no more ear issues this year!
