how about installing 2 or 3 separate valves, in-line? it would also add flexibility to the scupper tube for off-set positioning.

How about making sure you don't get a bilge full of water in the first place?
Get a good hood and hood seal, two bilge pumps, and you're set.

I will NEVER install another oneway/scupper/whatever.

The issue isn't water leakage, it's air leakage.

The XFT is the best one in my opinion hands down. Comes from XFT already assembled. Tube, flex joint to match angle on the back of hull, and valve that is resessed into the hull so that the water holds it shut when boat is just floating. I have two in Superjets and have never had a problem. I go to Daytona and Wavedaze every year and ride a lot of fresh water. One has been in one ski since spring 08 and the other just put in this spring. Again never had a problem and best investment. Never have a problem with water injestion!!!!

i don't think many people have the NEW xmetal scupper....it doesn't leak even when the ski is upside down....bilge pumps break too easy when riding hard...it depends on riding style..either one works.

Blowsion and the Home Depot's are one way valves, not scuppers.

Scupper is an external flap system.

And they all leak some (Scuppers)

The one ways work much better for keeping out the water but do not dump as much as a scupper.

ATP One Way Scupper works great for flat water. Can't speak about how it would work in the surf since I only ride flat water here in MI. Just as and FYI I also run a bilge. My advice is for you to operate on the side of caution depending on where you are riding (flat or surf) and put in whatever is necessary to prevent your ski from sinking. I.E. Good good hood seal, brap strap, single/dual bilge for flat water if used in conjuction with a good scupper, etc

keeping water out of the engine compartment is a good idea Matt, but it's not going to happen...lol the whole idea with installing scupper valves is to eliminate the need for bilge pumps draining the battery, and when you're running a total loss system added with a bilge pump, or dual bilge pumps for that matter, combined they will kill a battery, fast. Although, some people will bilge pumps and scuppers at the same time. :dunno:

what do you mean by "air leakage"?

Haven't seen this. Its not on the website. I would like to update my old one. (btw, if you run a scupper in the flat, just plug it when you go in the surf) As far as I am concerned they are mandatory.
