Have you made any more progress? Did you turf it yet? How about the 750? Is that going in for this ride or are you going to wait on that?
No turf, perhaps tomorrow. 650 for the ocean, but with the light flywheel
perhaps.

It was what Luke used and it worked ok. That is a planned mod in the not too distant future, I'm a little strapped for cash right now though.

Put the bilge pumps in last night with 5200. Two 750's that Matt gave me in trade for the two 500's that I had bought. I'm going to install the fittings so that the exits into the trays. I'll try and post some pics tonight.

Id think twice about putting them into thetrayI have mine that way on my blaster last year a fuel line popped off when I turned the pumps on it filled the trays with oily water it is still slippery to this day. Luckily I have black turf so it didnt stain but every time it gets wet i almost slip off.

Matt told me the same thing. I think that I'll just run them out the sides. One on each side just a couple of inches below the hood.

Well we did some work to the X2 yesterday and a lot more on Matt's RN (we got to put in the right foothold twice because of impatience and poor planning:banghead:). I ran into some problems with the electronics on the 750. Things wouldn't "fit" and still seal inside of the 750 e-box. So now I'm going to take everything out of the 650 box and put the 750 electronics into the 650 box. It's a PITA. I hate electrical stuff. . .

Thats what zip ties are for, it should never happen.

I hope you get that sorted out soon, not sure why the wires won't fit in there, but be carefull closing it up. My neighbor was in a hurry on his TS and pinched a wire. When he started it up it ran for 5 seconds then the wires caught fire and fried everything to the stator.

What you will find is there are not too many good places to put them where they won't interfere with something. With my scupper in, the pump is only in there so it won't sink when sitting or if the scupper leaks.

The wires will "fit" into the 750 box but on of the holes to put the wires in through has a different kind of fitting. Instead of the ones that screw into the side of the box this has four wires (the four heading to the start/stop switch) that pass through a gasket that kind of snaps into the side of the box so when I just swap the wires out then the box does not seal tight. I am going over to look at it again today after we turf Matt's RN.

Use the stock 750 connector to the box, and cut the wires outside the box, then you can use either shrink wrap and crimps or bullit connectors.

:haha:

Tell us more....please:sneaky:

It had something to do with 'exploding footholds'.
16 ounces of warm unexpanded foam
Poorly mixed epoxy resin
+ 'nearly' cured glass
a foam volcano the pushes the bottom of the foothold up and oozes foam down the side of the nice paint job.:banghead: :banghead:

It was kinda cool to watch
