Dang, too bad I'll be in the Tri-Cities. Going to Phill's for some glass work and engine work.
Think about what might be a "reasonable" offer for that FX1. :cool2:

Ok with the help of Matt_E I'm gonna do some work on the X2 this weekend. Here's what we have planned
1. Pull the 650 out and put it into the SX
2. Freestyle porting of the 750
3. Send the head to the machine shop to get it milled
4. Install two 750 bilges
5. Swap the FT on the SX w/ the TT on the X2.
6. Swap impellars (SX has a Skat 15.5 and the X2 is stock now).
7. Move exhaust outlet forward (how difficult is this and what else do I need to do this other than glass that is).
8. Swap pipes

Hopefully at the end of the day the X2 will be ready for the 750 as soon as I get the head back from the machine shop. If Matt's camera is working then I'll be sure to get lots of pics along the way. Any advice that anyone has about anything on my list would be much appreciated.

Yeah we are really gonna do something. Kinda surprising huh? Hopefully I'll be able to take the X2 out in a week or two so that I can see how it handles with the 750.

You will need to get the 750 impeller cut back 6mm to work in your x2 pump. 15.5 is really low and may cavitate (750 will be making much more torque and you want to take advantage of that) , use the stock nozzle and cone.

It's a 650 Impellar. Will I still want to get it cut back? I know that it is low but it's better than the stock prop for now. I plan on eventually picking up a 12/19 but I'm out of money for now.

It will be fine then.

Did some work on the ski today. I got the motors both pulled and I ran into some problems with the electronics.

Also did a compression test in each and came up with 135 in each cylinder.
Ok snackman, you have 3 weekends to get the snackmachine going for Long Beach. Matt has a full plate, so pull out the stops and get that sucker in and running. If you are going with the 750 electronics, just mount the box where the oil tank was and you should be good to go. If going 650 electrics, you will have a bit more work in front of you. Call me on the weekends if you need help. J

Yeah I plan on using the 650 electronics. All I really have to do is to put the 750 in and swap props. I should be able to get some done tomorrow and Sunday. She'll be running like a top by the end of the month.

First of all, the Snackman is booked this weekend, installing flooring at an undisclosed location. :sneaky:

Second, that 750 already has 650 electronics hooked up to it, from what I understand. So, it shouldn't be too hard.

I hope.

I hope you realize its not really that simple, the 750 stator and flywheel are completely different. You can't just change the wires to make it work, you will have to pull the flywheel off, tap the cases to mount the 650 stator without drilling to far into them, lap the 650 flywheel and install the cover. The 750 prop won't work until you get it cut back 6mm from stock. Didnn't see your post above, belay that......

Yeah the prop is a 650 so I should be able to just swap them. As far as electronics They are the 650 electronics I believe. If not I've got some work to do. . . Is there an easy way to tell the difference?

Yep, if the stator wires come out the front of the cover they are 750, if they exit near the starter then 650.

Edit: Good thing that thing is sitting in my garage. It's got 750 electrics, according to what Crab just posted.
Stator wires exit near the starter.
