Bad idea, I tell people not to waste time and money on the 650 based motors for that reason. Spend as much money on the 750/800 as you can afford, and get the good parts the first time then no regrets. Now you can build one for yourself.....

you r right crab his ski is really fast and tons of low end power he was getting big time air over waves, and does it ever sound sweet, all i have to find is a 750 motor cheap maybe off a 93 or 94 sitdown or old standup , i even have a limited blaster pipe, factory pipe off my x2

list

1 motor 750 or 800
electronics
prop
carbs
thats it instant 750

I would stick with the 650 electrics Mario. You already have them, plus I hear the 650 flywheel is a little bit lighter. I had my 650 flywheel lightened by LPW, and this thing winds up instantly. The 750's are the way to go man!

X2, Addict beat me to it.
Stick with the 650 elect, being that you have it. Try to find yourself a nice small pin 750 or 800... if the wallet allows. I expect another 750 X2 by Wavedaze or Daytona the latest....LOL!

i second that motion crab . im going to put a 750 into a friends x2 this weekend all going well . the 750 engine make x2,s just that much more fun on a x2 and a 800 is just that much more fun over the 750

This week I get a bigger rotary valve stuffed in it and dual cooling,it seems the 3/8 cooling line is inadequate as the water temperature goes up so I am plumbing both 3/8 lines into one large line going into the engine.I am still running the 587 rotary valve so I am going to try the 720 valve in it and see how it responds,I also may try a set of duals on it since I have more experience with that setup and have a few sets laying around.I pulled the hull braces out so there is room for the dual carbs now for sure.Stay tuned 2mm big bore setup is next on the list and maybe a set of ported cylinders, the porting may be tricky as no one ports these for this application.
