remember how my 24mm dosnt go all the way to the back of the tray??..it wont stick if you dont

it'll stick. don't listen to him... haha... just use multiple layers of glue.

if you want you can stick the padding all the way to the back edge of the tray, then take a razor blade, cut the padding at an angle, then sand it smooth so it taper to the edge of the tray.

im going to double up the turf (molded diamond) on the tray and on top of the caps. gonna be good, if it sticks.

still not thick enough for the tray..id go get some closed cell foam from the camping store or whatever..

yaya... ive done my share of turf jobs though. same concept.

at the very back edge of the tray it would be as thin as your, but then taper up b/c of sanding.

turf is done!! made a couple mistakes but it will work. the 24mm padding feels great and that notch was worth it!

first ride today. got to the beach late and was hungover from fiances b day party. the waves were crap and i had a tough time adjusting to the 24mm padding. my strap isnt quite in the right place but ill ride it a couple more times before i change it. the tubbies were awsome! but for some reason they make me want my pole shorter. i just got a -1 turnplateso thats goin on this week.
after some sh!tty surf ridn i drove out to nacimiento. first time ive ridden in a lake in like 6 mos!
i forgot how fun it can be to f-around in flat water for awhile. overall im stoked with the mods and a couple more trips ill have it figured out.

when you ride surf stance they are the only way to go. IMO much cleaner style than the "bar hump" style associated with footholds. but if i was building a flatwater boat, id have a set of REVs in a heartbeat
