Looks good Brett. Can't wait to see it and ride it if I see you before I get my tubbies installed. I've been working on the tubbies Carl gave me. I re enforced them and am now smoothing the surface back out. I'm gonna install them with the same screws you did. I like that idea.

alright-time to get some power out of the dog. its probably the slowest 701 with a b-pipe ever! cuong hooked me up with a ADA head with 35cc domes, and andrews hookin me up with a modified cdi, and im sending my carbs to group k.

my only question now is do i put a new top end in it? im getting about 140 psi in each so i thought i wouldnt need. my dad, bein an old motorcycle racer, thinks it would be stupid not to throw a in piston and rings while im in there. idk. this aint gettin any cheaper!

im about

to buy the tubbies and was wondering since i am going to take out the gas tank and box out for the install should i take out everything and reinforce now. its a newer ski i dont go that big but what you think. you got tubbie 1s right is that the best or 2s
thanks

we all run ones. pretty much only ride surf, and run 0nes flush with the bottom. pullin your tank and pipe isnt very difficult, so i wouldnt make reinforcement a priority just because you made room for tubbie install. that said, eventually your going to want to do it, and like wydopen said, if your gonna do it, do it right.

my ski is not reinforced yet,and im not at a level of riding where its imperative. but somewhere along the build its gotta be done. power first though.

pulled the motor today. three broken motor mounts, and one pretty bad one. also, those ridiculous stickers that are supposed to seal in the foam leaked, and its pretty wet in there. this is gonna cost way more than i was hoping, but im not really surprised.
