I've got the new Sport Port template

Do you re-pitch the top of transfer ports too or just match them up at an angle? Also have you ever dropped the boost port and drilled boost holes in pistons? If so, what effect did it have if any? We did this on a highly ported 61X cyl. this week end but have not assembled and run it yet? REAL curious to see if we f-ed up a good ported cyl.

I do not repitch the roof angles. The stock Yamaha port angle config seems to be great for low end. I confess, I don't know enough about it to mess with it.
On my current personal cylinder, I did make the transfer port windows themselves quite a bit wider.
In fact, my personal cylinder is ported way beyond what the Sport Port does. I have ported my cases, as well.
Nice setup. Hits great.
I have seen the dropped boost ports a few times, but have not done that yet. I understand that it promotes cooling of the piston from below (this is in conjunction with boost ports in the piston skirt).
I did some research on this and found nothing conclusive for performance gains here - I think it's done mostly for reliability, added lubrication and cooling.

You thought wrong...especially once I found out in what nice & new condition that throttle cable of mine that you took was/better still is.

I do need it back...Char keeps asking about it. You got a replacement for your ski. And yes, I do want THAT cable back. :fingersx:
