You will need to lean out the carbs a bit, the SJ square stock pipe does not flow like the big chamber out of a Raider. Sorry, I don't have any specs.

Are you running a pipe or any other mods to your 701? List the engine mods and it will be easier to help you.

OP nozzles for Kawi had better clearance around the exit nozzle and a relocated position for the cable mount for sharper steering, along with the above noted gains. I have never owned one for an SJ, but I doubt they would not have incorporated the same steering and clearance enhancements.

Never rode this ski in stock form, but I can't imagine it taking much away from the flickability, this ski is so fun to ride! When the first new carbon FX-1's come out, I am considering putting my Q8 up for sale.

Did the conversion, running with a straight 15 Skat. Spins (cavitates) down low, pulls strong in the middle, hits the rev limiter on top. I am thinking about a 16.5 or a 13/18, what are you running? The engine is a stock 61x with a b-pipe and a modded stock waterbox.

650 w/ a pipe and some compression is a pretty fun boat. Not going to be backflipping or anything, but nice and tossable with the right pump / prop setup.

Yeah, start with a SN or RN if it is in your budget. The SXI pro was built for carving / racing. I don't personally like the SN, RN's just feel lighter / more nimble. I love the feel of the FX1. If you are planning on building an AM hull someday, you will want to start out with Yamaha...

Strip out the pump and driveline, shaft bearing and large hoses. You will most likely need them for your ski, and the pump (if it isn't trashed) should be worth about $100. If bumpers etc are good, might be worth a part out on PWCToday.com...

And make sure it passes a pressure test once it is assembled...

Those are fine, you will want to make sure the gasket surfaces are flat. The surfaces should be cleaned up to make sure the fuel / air flow isn't being disrupted (not likely).

Suspension steering for some couch. Just saw one on Ebay. Said you can modify it to fit WB2's.
