Ski on back of my boat

Most of the fiberglass ones have the sides of the boat kind of blend down to the back, making the platform relatively small, or the platform is higher off the water. The old ski boats had that wood platform right at water level - easy loading. I'll have to look closer at some of the new boats...

    Fast Elements customer service

Fast Elements had an incredible sale on them, a really unbeatable deal. I've seen used ones going for more than what I paid, but holding up my build was a bummer, especially since the lakes weren't frozen over.

Ski on back of my boat

I've been considering boats with the old school teak swim platform just for this purpose - put the ski on back and head out to the backside of the lake for some good wake sessions.

Super Jet Should I buy this ski???

That is a stack of good parts, but you may end up doing a top end and more to get it running right - hard to diagnose on a computer...

    Fast Elements customer service

I ordered a ATP waterbox and a UMI trim lever from them for my ski, waited 3 weeks, finally decided to call. "Oh, the waterbox is on back order." Another 2 weeks go by, follow up - still on back order. Arrives a few weeks later - I borrowed my friends TDR box at that point - and there is a...

Been there, Pnutt!!! Rode at Oside with Mark Gomez, got out to the ride spot and hydrolocked my ski on the first attempt at an aerial.

    Other Jetski haven. Good? Bad?

I picked up some RRP bars from them. They sent the wrong bars, I had to pay shipping back to them, then they sent the correct bars. Cost me a weekend of riding and $7 to ship. I had also purchased some bow eye tow loops from them a few years back, and it took forever for them to arrive. They...

    Blaster B1 Values?

I just sold my bone stock 1994 B1 for $800... it was probably worth more than that in parts. But I had to move on to other things. Wish I had room for them all, It would still be here.

Other What are your favorite Go Pro angles when riding?

I like the vids with a little of everything, but the ones from the side of the helmet are my favorite for standard mounts. The rod mounted gopro on a swivel off the helmet is sick too - I've see a few vids with that setup... sick.

If you had a $8,000 budget what would you buy......

So true. With thatbeing said, I keep a loaner boat. I have loaned it out quite a bit, and it gets a decent amount of use. It will still get loaned out, but a friend that rides it more than 3-4 times needs to be looking for their own ski.

If you had a $8,000 budget what would you buy......

Buy RTR aftermarket ski. The hull is the most expensive piece of the puzzle when you are building a REC ski. If you are wanting to hit the surf, make sure it is a beefy tried and true hull - I saw an older FR Rickter for $8500 with a 701 a while back - looked like it could be a fun boat.
