SXR Advice on tuning the wet pipe?

Set the carb screws to FP settings. Go to the screws ON THE PIPE... middle closed. Top 3/4 turn out. Bottom 1/2 turn out. Ride it..... turn the top screw in 1/8th of a turn and ride it. Keep doing this over and over again until it hits where you want it.

    Surfriding Oceanside in Early August

I am going to be in SanDiego and LA in early August for a week. I would love to come out and ride with the Oceanside crew again! I would pay to rent someones standup for a couple hours to slash some Pacific waves....My friend sold his SJ for a dirtbike. I also would like to do some filming...

SXR best mods for an SXR for someone who doesn't want to use an aftermarket exhuast

Actually, the top end is a bit higher with the pipe, depending how you tune it. Also, the low end is better, and that snappiness is harder on the crank. Basically, he is saying if you make it faster, it is harder on the crank. His mods don't make it as fast, is what he is saying in a round...

    SXR sxr modifications, what next?

A hood is a good starting point to drop weight....Trinity makes one for about $600. You'll feel the difference....

    SXR Rrp handle pole?

No afterburner! No waterbox! Get a flywheel. & a Bilgepump. Block off the front hole in your hood...open up a 2nd one in the back. RRP poles are expensive, heavy, but bulletproof. Yes, you need a ton of other parts to run it. I would go with X metal or a stock SJ pole. (much cheaper and...

SXR best mods for an SXR for someone who doesn't want to use an aftermarket exhuast

The pipe comes with the jets needed. Yes, they are bigger and it sucks down more fuel....but it rips wayyy harder. I have had my pipe on for 6 years and haven't touched it. (I've blown motors for other reasons, but the pipe has been bulletproof and I haven't touched a carb screw either). I...

plugs are out, right? There are a couple spots for a screwdriver to pry it off the gasket....should slide right off after that.

SXR best mods for an SXR for someone who doesn't want to use an aftermarket exhuast

Wow...some horrible posts in here. 1. The wetpipe for the SXR is completely reliable and makes a ton of power. You will never touch it. (if you follow the directions) 2. The 850 kit doesn't compare. (I've ridden it, it makes about 3/4 the power of just a pipe) 3. For the money, milling the...
