There was another thread on the subject a couple weeks ago. Some folks talked about grinding down your scissors. I snuck a pair of my wife's $20 shears...
steve, when and how do you pull the tape off so it does not peel the strands with it?
Sure. I'm not sure where I'm going with them yet. I was going to use the carbon/kevlar on my dash but it would have turned out ugly so I had to use it for something... My glasswork was pretty bad in this area so I figured this would be easier than trying to turf. Plus I didn't really want...
I just messed with some twill last night. I had planned on making it cosmetic but there was no way I was going to be able to keep the edges clean. So I ended up laying it where the edges wouldn't be seen (and it is actually still functional). The weave is easy to screw up too as you are...
Care to share what you worked out? And did you end up replacing your nose cover or will you work something else out since you will not have the front filler? I'm fixin to help my buddy put his sxr back together and would love to save him the cost of replacing his busted nose cover...
Or is...
I got some of those rails (or similar) from the same place slut mentioned in his build thread. I think it came out to $42 total for a 24' roll. Check your local auto body shops too...
Alright you motorheads. I just uninstalled Quicktime and tested out this other program and it plays Jerry's files just fine too. Hope it helps -> http://www.free-codecs.com/download/QuickTime_Alternative.htm
Yep. Drilled it and extracted it. I'm surprised I didn't hyperventilate... Worked the other four bolts out over 40minutes. Lots of corrosion but I only have 30 hours or so on this boat (all salt water but always hosed down). Chased all the inserts with a tap. Should I use antiseize when I...
Yeah the 04's, 05's, and 06's have the tamper proof plugs. They were really easy to remove. Mount the carbs on some nails on your work bench, drill, tap, pull. Some folks say they don't even use a dent puller. Pics linked above ^
Same problem with the 05's. Those are brass plugs with some black paint over them. I drilled and tapped the plugs then yanked them out with a dent puller. I later sent them to jetskisolutions.com and had the channels cut down, screws extended, and knobs added. You could pick up a set of...
So the machine shop is afraid the heat will damage the glass or the insert in the glass.... Here's a pic. The nut would go down a little further. I'm probably making a bigger deal out of it than it really is. Thanks for all yall's support.
Will regular steel weld okay to the stainless? I know nothing about welding except that my buddy is not setup for stainless...
I don't know what easyout is either but it sounds like I don't need to know
