    Holy Friggin Backfire!

Okay... so check reed petals and timing and if it happens again then cdi? Can backfires be caused by priming too much fuel? What about a lean mixture of fuel or too low of an octane? The last time I ran it I had to borrow some mystery fuel to flush it...

Barrel Roll Wannabe Club :: Admission is One Video

I used to wear a silicone ear plug in my right ear (3/4 side). It seemed to work great but it turns out I should have had bigger concerns. Now I wear a helmet :banghead:

    Holy Friggin Backfire!

I didn't put any ether or lube in my jugs. What else causes backfires? I just sold and shipped my spare waterbox yesterday, I don't want to have order another one...

    Holy Friggin Backfire!

I'm having a backfire problem now too. Just had a crack in an r&d exhaust manifold welded (it ran okay when I took it off), waited about three weeks, and then put her back together. I've tried starting it a couple times. The three times it did anything, it backfired. Fresh spark plugs, not...

Any tips on installing X-Metal vent tubes in pole.

What he^^^ said. A buddy with a blunt pry bar and windex works great for squeezing it through the bottom while you pull the cord. Make a big loop with the cord - don't tie it to the vents or it'll stay there forever.

need help finding tiny hood latch screw.

Yeah I've destroyed several myself too so I usually have spare pieces. And per Jerry's advice, I keep a ratchet in my tool box that I can hook up to one of my hood straps as needed. I just can't seem to commit to it 100% until I run out of spare latches... I never thought about running a...

Yeah he did the same thing to me... Much like you did with your one-handed rolls :banghead: I pancaked a roll hard on Sunday and that pretty much did me in for inverts until my balls dropped back down by the end of the day

Carnage: Hull Cracks, I want some repair input.

Epoxy resin. I'm no pro but I'd think up to three layers of biax on the inside (maybe 4", then 5-6", then 6-7"). Start small on the outside (ie, 1"x2" then 5"x4" of mat) and sand it, fill it, and glaze it smooth. Be sure to glass under the lip too - don't just fill the ridge. You might want...

    The BEST cold weather mod

Don't fall  I use a stiff plastic tube running up the pole with a coupler that I tap into the surgical tubing wrapping up my arm. They just come apart right there at the coupler. I don't know about jellyfish but I've sucked up sand :wallbang:

    The BEST cold weather mod

Tap into a line of surgical tubing running up your arm and fill your suit with warm water. Tap into your helmet as-needed. Just gotta maintain comfortable running temps and don't go wot :angryfire:

Nice! With Pete's help, I tried a lot my first weekend. Then busted my skull the next weekend so I haven't really been too into fine-tuning them. This is the best pic I got from that first day, some are better than others but I clearly need more tuck and a bigger setup would help. I use...

    Superjet - exhaust flange leaking?

If you're in the mood to finish off the season with minimal downtime, just run a bead of 5200 around the flange and then inspect the foam this winter. Re-rivet if they feel loose.

    Help with manifold crack

Awesome thanks for the info Paul. I don't have any welder friends to bother so you get the lazy question of the day... do I need to pull the manifold or can I roll the whole ski up to a welder's shop? This happened on my wife's very first surf (if you could call it that today) ride :cool2...
