It's normal on a 2 stroke to have uneven looking plugs. As to the piston wash, I'm no expert, but the jetting looks ~OK~ to me with some imbalance, maybe from the porting.
I went and lubed the throttle cable Sunday night & when I went to start it Monday night I noticed it was soooo smooth and easy to pull! Too easy.:bs2: So I looked and the one end of the return spring between the carbs was broken off. :banghead:
So I seem to remember that someone...
That shark was pretty bold stealing the Tarpon like that; not scared of the running outboard either. I'd have gaffed him for taking my fish!:rocketwhore:
Vilano was goin' off today!   Especially the outer north break. Solid chest high waves, with maybe a dozen overhead. The wind never really picked up enough to blow spray, & it was clean between sets.
A very nice surprise indeed!:arms: :arms: :arms: :arms:
Soul...
IMHO when it's small there are better breaks at Vilano, in deeper water. There's a lot more area to choose from, a north and a south side w/minimal cheese graters and NO surfers or rules to speak of.
And it's 40 minutes further from my house, plus free (REALLY GOOD) steaks at my brothers...
My memory is still good.
As to wave size, it's the ocean - you can't tell exactly until that morning. However, the forecast IS small. I won't know for sure until tomorrow anyway which day or where.
I'm not advocaing we hold it over their heads, just a polite nudge that the zones open at 9 & the lifeguards should be there on time. No doubt they're on time at the skurfers area by the rocks.
C'mon Bill, sign up! They're peeps on here older than you!:woot:
Did it pick up after I left?
BTW Nick, we need to politely work on getting the lifeguard there to open the zone on time, especially after our big donation. We watched the sweet 9:00 waves gradually fade :sadwavey: :sadwavey: :sadwavey: until the zone FINALLY opened. It was painful.:ugh...
Waves were pretty decent today at the inlet, chest to head high  , but breaking inconsistently. Shark shallows was fun, and in the morning the cheese grater was going off. Unfortunately it was breaking kinda close o the rocks, & close to the skurfers. There were some biiig waves...
