do you just drop a pc in the cylinder and try to wiggle it around? Cut a longer piece and give it a 90deg bend. then just stick it though and hold it where you want it.
i tried that on at a local shop and didnt think it flexed very good. seemed uncomfortable to me. i picked up the jetpilot cellblock and am very happy with it so far.

question, have you attached the hood with those hooks yet?
reason i ask is i had to make custom hood hooks so that the notch was the right height/distance from the hood. you might have to add a spacer plate on the part that bolts to your hood. just a thought.
and the ford's i've seen run on the e85 run like crap.
but that was after it had been run on standard 87 for a few yrs and then switched for a tank, so im sure the engine didnt like that too much. became hard to start and ran rough. straightened out after a tank or so of regular got back...
