Mine has not faded. My color from the shop I got it done at was named "Stainless Steel". I imagine discoloration would be more of a concern on higher temperature parts, but the pipes in skis really don't get nearly as hot as types of engines.

With the ceramic coating I don't get any water spots, I have never put any work into, and I won't ever need to put any work into to have it keep looking great. Ya I spent $75 up front, but for the most part my time is more valuable than my money. Not saying one way is better than the other...

I myself started on a 650sx, moved to an 800sxr, and now am riding only superjets. 650sx sucked, 800sxr was a tank, and the superjets are just bad azz.

Hasn't chipped yet. Not brittle, very very durable. I haven't purposely dented my chamber though. Like I said it has been over two years since I had it done, and it still looks great. It has been in and out of my boat many many times. Just asked my riding buddies, they'll tell you for a while...
