Dave Ramsey, debt, credit cards, retirement, etc

I just started reading "Financial Peace Revisited" yesterday (got it from his $10 sale). Seems like a good book.

what can you tell me about reading these plugs?

The Low speed jet has NO affect on the value of the pop-off pressure. The only thing that affects the actual popoff pressure is the size of the needle/seat and the spring. When it comes to jetting however, the pop-off pressure and the low speed jet somewhat overlap in function. Lowering...

how come skis dont have much metal flake?

You can put metalflake in paint or gelcoat. Bass boats are gelcoated, I'm sure.

    Water Dawg 1200 pic's

Sleds have been doing it for years, and turning even more RPM's. You can't ride one of these 1200 engines for very long at WOT because you'd be dead, lol. How well does a billet head work on cast OEM cylinders? Also ADA and ABLE made billet cylinders that worked well.

What do you get from Jeff for 8 grand? 62T pv Lamey cylinder close to $2000 62T Stroker crank $1250 PV's $500 62T Cases $500 Gaskets and seals $50 Pistons/rings/etc. $300 Head $300 So that's $4,900 with out any assembly labor or porting. I just guessed on the cases cost but you need...

    Waterdawg 800 F1-Pro

Hmmm, Jeff told me about that idea but I didn't know that he actually built one. I like mine the way it is. My hood is pretty solid and it's around 6 pounds. I could see the lowered bracket being nice for hoodtricks, however, I don't do hoodtricks.

    Water Dawg 1200 pic's

The Seapoo's biggest problem was water injestion due to poor design of other components. Also, a couch sees a lot more abuse than a standup (heavier loads, extended WOT runs, retards doing 360's in 6 inches of water, etc). I don't know if 300 hours will be possible but Jeff's engine will not...

How have you shaved weight off your SJ?

I don't know either, but carbon fiber is expensive, and so is your time. Think of the resale value too. I think you'd have a hard time consistently sandblasting to 1/3 the thickness. Also, you'd wreck the integrity of the hull that was left behind. And reinforcement that isn't perfect laid...

How have you shaved weight off your SJ?

It'd be smarter to do a bottom deck conversion.

    Waterdawg 800 F1-Pro

Yamaha called the FX-1 pole setup the High Pivot System. I think they did it to copy the look of the 550 (which was still a popular machine back then), or to make it look different than the Squarenose, or to make it easier to ride. I remember when the SX-R came out, Kawasaki marketed that its...

    Waterdawg 800 F1-Pro

I thought my X-Jet handled perfectly, this one will be totally different. I mostly wanted to order a prepreg hull before Jeff got too busy (I figured it would take awhile to get). Origianlly I ordered another X-jet but changed my mind when Jeff said the 800 would fit in the F1-Pro!
