He must have been comparing only roundnose hulls. I don't think it'll gain much either but it's a great way to get the foam out and do a lot of other cool stuff while it's open :biggthumpup:

How thin are they? They original sponsons by 3DR were only 13mm wide and they were like $300+.

Boats have water cooled manifolds, even though cars with the same engines don't. I think it's a safety thing. Don't want anything to catch on fire you know!

Oh, current NADA average retail on that ski is $2,800.

If it's in nice shape it's definitely a fair price. I see people asking close to that amount for much older, lesser skis (not counting the value of the trailer in that comparison). It may be a 10 year old ski but you can't buy anything like it today. So age is less relevant than condition...

Someone should be able to do better with modern electronics, I don't think the MRD unit was very smart.

True, you have to use the Able head becuase it has extra bolts on it. But, it uses ADA domes.
