Did you say you wanted it 75 pounds with hood? I am sure he could have done it, his first red REV hull was 70 pounds with hood if I remember correctly.

Never had a problem with the gunnels tearing up my elbows on my X-Jet...

How much does it weigh? You might as well try it with the wings on. Cover them with turf and they aren't as noticeable.

Cool, so I'm down 30 pounds plus much stronger. FX-1's are notorious for having a weak nose but I think mine will be unbreakable. Of it it breaks, the whole front of the ski will come off with it :bigeyes:

It's exactly like the FX-1 except it has a Superjet pump shoe/intake duct (my ideal setup).

Just the hull with foam and footholds is 60. The hull, hood, "hoodlatch system", ride plate, pole mount, and hood seal together weigh 77 pounds. I think a dry OEM FX-1 hull weighs 92 pounds with no hood and it needs some serious reinforcement. So, I'm pretty happy at this point.

Sorry guys, I've been swamped :banghead: I haven't had any time to work on it yet but I did get it on a bathroom scale and it's right at 60 pounds... it's beefy! It's been so long since I worked on a ski I don't know what to do first :rolleyes:

Rat, you may need to pick it up from the hub, that's what I did. Home delivery would have been more complicated.

It's getting late so I didn't take any pics yet. I got the hull, hood, pole bracket, gas tank, intake manifolds, rideplate, and exhaust chamber. Still need a few parts but Jeff said they're on their way. The hood weighs 9 pounds on my bathroom scale. I was hoping for 7 but it's pretty...

The only thing I can think of is he just doesn't have time. Every time I do reach him we talk for like 2 hours.

I haven't done anything to it yet, it's still in the crate. BRB...

Dude, he's been saying "it'll ship" for about a year now. So I didn't think 4/15 was set in stone. But now I have a real live tracking number :biggthumpup:
