Art at Jetworks told me to not even waste my time with VF1's. The pedals wear out so quickly compared to the VF2's

    adjusment screw

Be sure to give John specific part numbers if possible when ordering if you are ordering the "T" handle screws. You should be able to use a Hot Products part number. He sent me the wrong screws once. If you're ordering his larger knob style screws, you should be good without a part number...

    should i just build one?

And all being said, the answer to your thread's title question is In my opinion, no do not build your first ski. You need to get to know the skis first, then build one. You'll save a lot of head aches and frustration in the end.

    should i just build one?

Wow, that is mint, but pretty price as you mentioned. I sold a very well set up limited square for that price. Mine had a 62T engine, b pipe, RN handlepole, steering, ride plate, grate, bilge, pro-tec modified CDI, etc.

My First Ski + First Build (93 SN)

All water exits through the exhaust system. The 93 650 SJ I purchased did not have a bypass fitting. From what I know bypass fitting is used to either control cooling or to monitor that the engine is actually receiving water from the pump.

Best steering system for a RN?

Every person I have known seems to have problems with the UMI system, but I have zero problems. I have yet to get any slop from the nut loosening, and it turns like butter. Any time I dissemble it I clean the post threads with brake cleaner, I use a brand new nut, and use red loctite. Has...

Stripped steering cable holder threads on X-metal pole... help

I hope a nut and bolt will be my last option. I know I'd probably drop the nut down the pole like 10 times before I actually get it threaded.
