    Tuning question

Ooooold. How might that affect it? Popoff still measures 43-ish. Came out of a 44 off a sank '90. Matt yeah, definitely sounds rich but I'm using fp specs on such a basic motor I didn't want to go out and get a bunch more jets if there was something deeper wrong. I do get horrible...

    Tuning question

Bought a used 61x motor, used bpipe, used oem 44 w/stock f/a. I got the bpipe set with an oversized top screw at 3/4 turn and the rest closed. The 44 is at fp specs (don't remember the jets) and a 1.5n/s and 95g spring which I think is the recommendation. The ski bogs on low end, I hold the...

    Cutting Roundie SJ pole

I don't doubt you'll get it done. But worst case if you need a pole to ride tomorrow, swing by my place in the morning or I'll bring one to the ramp. Already shortened 4" I think and on a bracket w/turnplate. No excuses for missing another ride :poke:

    Cutting Roundie SJ pole

At the top you'll only get about two inches. You could do it without removing the cables but it is so much easier with them outta there. Make sure you use stainless rivets when reassembling plus epoxy of course.

    Stator damage?

Thanks I went ahead and replaced it last night. I'll run the tests you suggest out of curiosity but will feel better without sticking it in a ski until I get it fixed... I should have tested the new coil to see what it registered at for comparison, oops.

    Stator damage?

    Does it make a difference that it's a 61x?

    Stator damage?

Caught a piece of the stator when I was removing my flywheel. :banghead: Scraped a bit in the top left and nicked a wire in the bottom right. Does this still look usable or is there something I can do to fix it?

Is limiting rope needed with aftermarket pole

Dude that oozing jank on you shin was nasty. I've gotten my fair share of scars since tangling myself up in that rope. All orthoscopic :crutches: I think I had the ortho stuff coming to me anyways.... On topic, yes run a limiting rope! You'll know when and if you need to ditch it.

    limiting rope install

Fixed the link. Yeah I use S3711-0007 from www.bosunsupplies.com and . $8 though, never shopped around for anything cheaper. And i think S0120-0080 for the caribiner but maybe one size up. My knots have always held up fine, never used those bling crimp things. Duct tape around the bungee...

    limiting rope install

Yeah make your own. Use a beefy caribiner though and use a pad-eye - not an eye bolt. I've broken many of the average-sized eye-bolts, caribiners, and a couple hood latches before coming up with this. I like the folding pad eye because it doesn't give the rope any leverage to snap it like it...

    barefoot riders?

Yeah I always put padding right where there'd otherwise be a tongue: I've never understood the riding barefoot thing though. Either cuz of the rug rash or the shellfish

    Looking for allen bolts

Haha a local shop told me the same thing but she ended up finding what I need. Just got to wait for her and the manager to figure out what they want to charge me. Damn didn't mean to threadjack this bad. Back to the original post, I *think* oem part# 90119-10M56-00 will work fine for the...

    Looking for allen bolts

Thanks for looking but running the die down them doesn't sound fun. Never done it before though. What size are pump bolts? I have one long(er) one installed on one ski or another...
