Throw it up on fleabay and see what it'll bring. You never know, someone might be on there looking to relive their glory days... like one of my friend's friend who pays $$$$$ for old Suzuki dirtbikes that are mint.
It's interesting they wrote that, but it doesn't make any sense, since again, nothing pressurizes the gas tank. The vent just prevents a vacuum condition from happening when the fuel level goes down.
Hard to say, I don't think you can tell much about how the carb is tuned based on idle in the driveway, there is no load on the engine and it's not at operating temperature.
No, there's nothing that pressurizes the tank, except vapor pressure from the fuel. Which is always changing, so it could never be a "part" of the fuel delivery equation.
The vent let's air in when the level drops, to prevent a vacuum.
Dang!! That's awesome! I like the 1100 engine, it's 120hp on like 110psi.
How do you know it was running hot, those thermometer strips? Do you still have the OEM temp sensor on it? Why use the 750 pump over the stock pump?
Your fuel tank doesn't have to be pressurized. I'm not sure where you got that idea from... your fuel pump SUCKS fuel from the tank into the carb.
Maybe you have a bad fuel pump. Or some water in your carb.
I got pulled over for that once (no ticket) but the cop said I was "splashing" and I could lay with my body in the water if I couldn't balance in the tray :o
Blsters are virtually maintenance-free.
The oil block-off plate is around $10 but you can make your own... it's just a flat plate with two holes in it (it covers up the hole in the front engine cover left when you remove the oil pump).
I like adding a pisser just because it shows that...
The cops in NC probably can't check registrations on skis from CA.
But anyway, yeah, a fire extinguisher is standard safety equipment required by the USCG... they're really cheap too!
I'm sure dual carbs will make more power than a single but the point is dual will work better on 62T cases. If you're going to spend the money, you might as well spend a tiny bit more and take full advantage of the dual carbs.
