I cut the temp sensor off all my skis. I've only needed it one time, and in that case my engine overheated anyway. So it's kind of useless IMO, and it takes up space. Also if the sensor goes bad it limits your RPM's... which could ruin a good ride.
It probably didn't handle very well. No way I'd be on an SXI hull at 60mph!
The ski on Ebay looks like a very professional install but I doubt anybody will pay $3,000 for it.
$400 must be to modify your old crank. The more expensive stroker cranks are brand new, and they have custom made webs. They're $$$ because the volume is low.
I don't think USPS has tracking numbers; he probaly used the cheap service which does take a long time. I forget how long exactly but you can check on usps.com
