Like he said, it caused my combustion pressure and temp. Octane in fuel acts as the delaying chemical that causes the fuel to burn slower. Thus the higher the octane the slower the reaction.

What kind of intake is on it? If it has a aftermarket intake, try this jetting. 120 low, 150 high, and put your pop-off at about 14psi. Try putting both the screws 1-11/2 out and start there.

Not to judge your idea, but aren't worried about the bolt backing from the constent pulling on the bolt. Now that it is bent, it is even weaker. That just my 2 cents.

If you dont find anything in the carb. look inside your e-box. My 650 was doing the same thing and I found water in my e-box. It had rusted up some of the electrical parts and it was acting up when I jumped and turned. Got the water out and replaced what was bad and not it runs great.

I just bought the "2 Stroke Technology" book and I was reading about the tunning of carbs and he made a statment about running a AEF Manifold when you us a 46mm carb on your ski. I have never hear of a AEF. I was wondering where can you buy them? :ugh2:
