If it has a stock head, that is the correct plug. Make sure you buy solid tip. The part# for that plug is: 6715.

Cracked pfp can cause a bog. I've also seen cylinder base bolts come loose and cause an air leak/bog. Re-torque everything and pressure the motor.

150 is perfect, but if it does have 140/140, it should run on its own, as long as carb(s) are happy, no engine air leaks, clean filters/lines. You could have it on gone over by a professional shop, but that won't be cheap.

I've never owned a sxr cover. Either one should work, sxr will probably wrap around the bottom of the ski more, due to it being bigger.

The older xfs ride like poop compared to the new style hull like jzymbe has (same bottom deck as a xfs) You've never mentioned budget, but your going to pay a lot more for a new style hull. May be out of reach for you.

Xfr will be a slightly thicker layup, so you wont have to repair it in 5-10 years. Carbon core is primarily fiberglass. You would repair it in the same fashion as a 100% glass ski.

As in no maintenance, it requires no grease to work smoothly? Been making/running flow gaurds for years, hps couplers have worked the smoothest that ive found, but still best to put on a little grease before you ride.

Not the case. You can hold the stop button while cranking and it will not send spark to the spark plugs.
