I had 2nd exhaust but recently removed the rear and used that tube to make the larger 2.5" outlet for the front only exhaust, it was really cheap but required some welding skils and cutting in the ski a bit, wasn't trying to save money, it was more of a weight thing.

what about an msd coil? Is the yamaha coil better than the sxr, if so share the part number as I will buy one too, I'm running an SXR with an Advent total loss.

mill your head, reeds, shorten or D-cut your stock ride plate, lighten that hull.

I have the RRP with two intakes, not enough. I had to open two spots on the rear of my hood. The angle of the air tube in the pole almost looks blocked when riding, they are very hard ti fit in. I'm running dual 46BJ's and all bolt ons and porting. SXR

wow! they've been lightening fast with everything i've ever bought. I always use two day air, one time ups screwed up. If there's delivery problems I bet it's a new worker or lack of.

also bilges, and a scupper is a must. also lighten that hull and reinforce.

I had to actually heat up and bend my pvc pipe at the end so it would be perpendicular with the scupper, i have the wamilton scupper. SXR

Yeh I just read that in this months watercraft magazine featuring his skis he has for sale. I guess I painted it a little prematurely.:banghead:

Anybody have any experience or advice with shortening the SXR?

how did you guys seperate the two? is it worth it? I've got an SXR freestyle already lightened every possible way other than possibly seperating them. How much weight loss is to be expected?
