Masters open . Against other old dudes with fast triples , the ski could would be competitive in the pro class with the right rider no doubt. The incredible handling is even enhanced more with the light weight of the twin and its making 130hp so its plenty fast .
I have 2 identically port matched 61x cylinders , 1 is on a 62t cases w/38 carbs and the other on 61x cases with 1 44carb . The 62t has more on top but I prefer the 61x in my SF badass for riding surf . The bottom end is snappier and also midrange fuel range is the same.
I would have to take Arts opinion on this . I have an et 967 in a new proforce it delivers stock triple performance but uses the same amount of gas as an sxr800 but its WAY faster . Its Very impressive, the TNT v3 pipe is awesome it completes an awesome package . There is more performance to be...
Not sure where the South Shore launch ramp is maybe by the Queen Mary? We were racing around by 11am at "Granada" Its not a ramp you need a beach tote from the end of the rode its a PIA and a workout as the sand is soft in the summer. Its at the end of Granada st. X of Ocean in Belmont...
An update on the ski it ran very well first time out jetting seemed very close on the ET SS 967 with 44mm carbs 137m 127l 95gr 2.3ns 1turn out both screws. TNT pipe with 115m jet 0 hesitation- motor spooled up quickly and ski flat ripped pulled very hard off idle to a top end quickly. A little...
I use west systems epoxy resin 5/1 from west marine. It works with anything..whatever thickness you got , carbon fibre , kevlar it dont matter. mix it with a cheapo chip brush wet it next day you can sand it and paint it again for a nice smooth hard as nails finish . There are other brands...
Buoys are set up most Sundays at the Granada launch ramp off Ocean in Long Beach I plan on being down there dialing in my new boat this weekend. Oside should be good this weekend too wish I could do both
No. The motor mount is reinforced with it as well as some in the nose area . Its fibre glass vinyl ester , It feels much lighter than an SXR but is a bigger ski. I just got the parts needed and hope to get it running tonight maybe start jetting in the carbs, then the pipe . I have alot of work...
The TNT water box came today and the corner will have to trimmed a little and re welded it`s a tight fit but I want to run it . The billet cylinder is thicker than oem so i had to flatten the pipe a bit for clearance from the main tank . Dang I thought it would be done by now but I am still...
Chris is running a Kawi twin in his boat and i think he is using the same length drive shaft as in mine , its slightly longer than for a triple to clear motor mounts from tank (driveshaft is very long) . He installed the Rhaas plates re drilled his mount and jigged everything perfectly, and the...
I cut out the crossover motor mount and am in the process of re reinforcing the area. There is still room for a triple but thats not my plan. The attached pics show the exhaust materials that i will use as there is 3 inches between rear of engine and gas tank to cross over above coupler .
Here are some pics of my new ski sent to me by prowatercraft as it was being built, they are out of order. I just picked it up last weekend and have started assembling it and want to fit the aluminum tank in the front that will give me over 10 gallons of range for long rides without returning...
I also have done business with Matt and would recommend him for a motor . He is honest and knowledgeable and has the best bang for your buck . His porting work is top notch also...
My experience with gel-coat after glassing in tubbies using west systems epoxy or just painting bottom deck after some failed attempts is quite successful now imo. I have bought several quarts from west marine and followed the directions on the can.. I used the wax additive which cuts down on...
