    Custom/Hybrid ROK rebuild

After some dry runs last night the pole feels pretty good. Other than the slop in the bolt bushings I'm a heavy rider at 200+ so it may ride ok for me. On my 550s I am always trying to get my body farther forward. I don't think I'll have that problem here

Quote. (steve-uk really? my pole is right at the front) I looked at some footage of other ROKs in use and they look pretty short as well. It will get run in Daytona as is to get a feel for it and then I'll make a call on what needs to happen. I havent rode the boat yet and I'm looking...

    Super Jet Stator screws stuck

heat always helps, and an impact driver. the worst that will happen is you will break the bolt and have to drill it out..... I will use as much heat as it takes because I HATE drilling

    Custom/Hybrid ROK rebuild

The ski came to me with the pole pivot bolt torqued down tight to take up the slack. That could have broken the mount and the pole base. I just fixed with 2 extra washers. There is still a clearance issue with the pole bushings to the pivot bolt. Ultimatly I will put a center spacer in so i...

    Custom/Hybrid ROK rebuild

Its pretty nice for how much stuff was not right and i get the feeling it got beat on a little more than it deserved. The pic of the chunk of coupler was what set of this full tear down and I'm glad I did or the ski would have pissed me off in Daytona. I found it sitting on top of the exhaust...

    Custom/Hybrid ROK rebuild

I'm work'n on it. The trailer will be done today and after my workout I'll be grinding the engine bed plate for clearance against the hull. Was thinking about putting my groupk lightened flywheel on it while it's out. Then it's time to put it all back together and build my backing plates for...

    Custom/Hybrid ROK rebuild

I found a hole in the hull where the water box rubbed through.... Sanded out the damage and contaminates ( the hole was repaired with rtv) Some epoxy resin and fiberglass (I don't have any carbon) did the trick and I put three layers of 6 and 8 oz mat over the cut glass I used to fill the void...

    Custom/Hybrid ROK rebuild

I pulled the motor to find several issues. Once gutted I was able to fix all the issues properly, or at least, to best of my ability. The RRP pole felt loose and was making noise if I torqed on it. I pulled it apart to find the tubes were only engaged about an inch into both caps. I...
