any tips for tuning a wet pipe to a group k 849 sleeper? I am going to call GK tomorrow and hopfully get tech help for setting up the carbs. I was thinking about cleaning up the inside of the manifold and gasket matching it as well. I plan to have it on for friday.

i put the X Metal pole on my sxr and im really happy with it. Im pretty sure there are pics of it on my build thread but that was some time ago. I put the Xmetal turn plate on with the pole. I used the SXR bolt and put the SXR washers inside the bracket to take up the slack, it fit really well

I have the Xmetal set up with straight bars. i didn't try my old plate on it so I cant help you much. I am very happy with the X-M products.

napa has them for cars, I dont know if they have that specific one but they should be able to get it. Any engine rebuild shop would be a good place to call too.

if you install the wrench adaptor or crows foot adaptor at 90 degrees on the torque wrench, the difference in torque is minimal. that way you are not extending the leverage point but offsetting it to the side

i would rebuild the carb. use a quality kit from the carb manufacturer. i would also check the fuel lines for holes, rub throughs & cracks. if they are old, replace them all.

i believe its eliminated with After market pipes. If you ride in the salt the OH sensor terminals should be tucked back into the box or well insulated against water so they don't short

here is a pic of the pole installed. And a pic of the gelcoat crack from a failed roll. landed flat 3/4 rotation. it was really loud, I though I broke it alot worse. It also blew out the hood hook mounting boos on the left side. Time to do some work. Later
