I am also lowering my hood.I cut the top of the hood,the fire ext. tray ant the pad for the pole off. The pad was first,that way the pole would sit down on the hood.Then just marked and cut. I filled mine with great stuff and sanded close as I could to the desired shape.Now I have put a thin...

My walmart 4 pounder did not last long at all.Maybe 2 trips to the lake. But my ski does not start well at all. I think it needs a car battery!

Matt,what type of mods are you going to do to the stock hood ?

Hull Weight I weighed the 98 hull I got from Mike W last night. Hull was 131# with turf and long exhaust tube and stock pole. The stock hood came in at 19.0# All on the digital bathroom scale.
