Anyone ever figure out how many pounds are lost by replacing oem with aftermarket?

hey slut (and other guys with little battery),

What happens if you fall off your ski and have to start it a few times within a minute or two? Does that little battery have a difficult time starting the ski after a few starts? Have you ever started it consecutive times or had any time where you could tell it was starting to get to the limit of that battery? Thanks.

I've been using a 4lb. battery all season... I ran it down once. Since then if I'm having trouble starting I get my pump out of the water.

how long did you have to try to start your ski to wear that battery down? were you trying to start it one time right after another? or did you start it, run it for a tiny bit, then start it and run for a tiny bit like that and eventually wear it down.... this is what I want to know since I tend to fall of my ski a lot! lol

It lasted longer than I thought. I sucked water in a few times with a couple long cranking sessions. That was in june and have'nt had to charge since. Speaking of charge... My ski has been sitting 2 weeks & I wanna ride later. I better go see if it's gonna start:biggrin:

ok good... I just dont want to fall off a bunch of times while trying to learn a trick and then get stuck in the middle of the lake! haha... looks like I'm gonna get the Yuasa battery that weighs in at like 4.5 pounds with 130 cca's unless someone has found one that's better....

My walmart 4 pounder did not last long at all.Maybe 2 trips to the lake.
But my ski does not start well at all.
I think it needs a car battery!

On the 4lb battery topic, I am at 190 lbs comp, use my $12.00 4lb batt all day Sat and Sun and then its toast by Sun night, trickle charge all week and good to go for the next weekend. Just use some common sense and b dam sure u have a real battery at the truck in case u need it! I can tell a noticeable diff riding my ski between the 'real' 16lb batt and my 4lb batt. To me its enuf 'feel' to justify the charging hassle.
