'06 Limited RN Build

I picked up an '06 yesturday and tore it apart when I got it home to start building it up. All I wanted to do is remove the pipe but one thing lead to another and before I knew it I had a bare hull.:439:
The only plans right now are footholds and turf, scupper (still debating), B pipe and head. I'm not doing any reinforcing right now, I'm just building a nice reliable limited ski.

do the scupper you wont want anything more than that
it drains sooo quick w/o worries...and if you beach or leave it in water just put a plug in the firewall side

I think its crazy to not reinforce this while its apart. Your there doing holds all ready, its just a little more work.

I wish I would of never ridden mine with out reinforcing it first. I dont consider my self to go big enough to need reinforcement but non the less, shes cracking.

Id go do it all right now.

Congrats on the new ride, looks good. I agree that you should at least reinforce the handle pole area, the nose section, and under the hood seal area. Hang it from the ceiling at a height where you can stand up and work inside the hull. Rough it up, lay it up, and you won't have to worry about it. See ya in Daytona:bigok:

I had scuppers on my last two skis. I think I will go ahead and install one in this one as well.

Glad you got another ski, Mike. Looks good - look forward to seeing the finished project in Daytona.

Its nice. I got a good ski this time to start with. I have to go to a 10 week course for the military on the 17th of January so I dodged a bullet. I will be there:beerchug:

I wanted to just get it back in the water as quickly as possible but I'm going to pull the motor back out and do it right.

Could you snap a couple of pictures of where you reinforced? I need a visual of what your talking about. It looks like this is going to turn into long project.

You will be happy that you decided to do it all right now. Im doing mine in January and its a year to late.

Congrats on the new ski,Ill start a thread on mine in the near future, but its going to be about the same as yours. I got a bpipe, prop, intake grate, modified cdi. Going to cut my pole, add a head, footholds, and reinforce, and then get some kinda graphics.

Good luck with your build as well. I'm not looking forward to it because I know what kind of PITA it is. But worth it in the end I guess.

I got alot done the last two days. Finished the bondrail reinforcement, cut the pole down -3" and installed the scupper. Waiting on my order from US Composites to get here so I can reinforce the pole bracket area and foam in the scupper area.

When I get the motor back in its time for footholds and turf.

If your reffering to the one behind the firewall, my holesaw cut clean through it as I didn't know it was there. What are you going to use for an intake grate for the pump?
