the 701 will be more reliable to boot.the cranks last longer,the cases are stronger and the port timing and configuration is better for a freeride/style boat. stock for stock.

for what the op wants,the 48's are still overkill even if tuned perfectly.his motor setup will not utilize the 48's to their potential. i think some of you have lost sight of what he's after. 48 are better than 38's,sure.but not for his combo.

you can do that but you have to use really flexible fuel line with a clunk.but then your 300 may not care as long as the line reaches the fuel.

48 are a bit overkill on your motor.they'll work ok but may not have the snap your 38 had.
