Also made new mounts for my mid shaft and ride plate all made from 1/2in aluminum. Also in the process of making my engine mount plates that glue to the hull.... I'll get pictures of all this tommorow

Haven't posted in a while but starting to get some things done, got some carbon down in the tray, this wasn't vaccum bagged, only put it down to seal the bottom from pin holes before I vaccum bag. Same with inside the engine bay too.

Just got finished laying my first layer of carbon fiber down in the engine bay, this was to seal off a few holes in the fire wall so I can vaccum bag without any leaks. For my first time ever working with carbon fiber I'd say it came out pretty good.

Also, I got 2 new ride plate mounts made and will be doing the pump mounts tommorow. I made them out of 1/2 inch aluminum and just cut them to length and width and drilled and tapped 2 holes. Currently waiting on some plexus epoxy in the mail to mount them into the hull. Also seen in the last...
After endless hours of sanding I'm basically finished with that dirty work, still have a little more to do on the bottom but not much. I got the tray and engine bay all ready for carbon fiber.... got all the old cooling line holes and thru hull fitting holes patched up so no air leaks will be...
Sweet, thanks for the info guys, and yes I do plan on making a template out of wood first, and I already have a bunch of aluminum stock laying around so I'm good on that also.

Quick question, would 1/4 aluminum plate be sufficent for the bed plates? Or should I weld blocks underneath the 1/4 inch plate that way I can extend the amount of threads?

A 148 mag pump would work with a stock superjets but a 144 mag pump would be more responsive, a 144 mag is a good choice for stock up to 800+ cc engines above 800cc you start seeing people run 148 mag pumps.

Since I'm working on my ski more than riding them I feel these pictures are acceptable
First Ski owned: 650sx
Second: Superjet
Third and current: high roller EME Q8 that I'm currently restoring

So I'm currently working on restoring a previously splashed Eme q8 hull. The previous guy had used 1/4 inch alluminum plate that was attached to the hull with a single bolt through the bottom of the hull for the engine mount location.(not that strong) How does everyone else do their engine mount...
