There is quite a bit of variance in scoop grate hole locations, especially the Jet Dynamic scoop you have. That's why your pump is a little forward. It wont hurt anything. You should fill the areas where the new pump bolts will go through the hull for two reasons......compression (as you've...

You have to lose the hood tubes. That's a shame cause FX hood is a great design with the stock tubes.

I remember the hydro-ski article when that mag came out. Those of us that were surf riding with the 440/550 at the time were very skeptical of it's abilities to be anything more than a race ski.
