Hahaha, of course! I wanted to remove it and glass over the hole. But its glued in with some crazy adhesive. It doesn't sand well, and its nearly impossible to scrape. I think im going to copy Scott and just seal it closed, then drill a hole from the rear into the scupper tunnel. Install a piece...
Sanded down all the way with 320. I’m so dang tired of sanding. Everything.
It’s looking pretty good…
I wonder who drilled these holes for the hood hooks o_O
Yeeeeeep. Looks like somebody tried to fit a 155 shoe in here and it didn't work haha
The good news is, this ski will be better than new when I finish it. Which will be ASAP.
And before anybody asks, yes i'm still finishing my FX-1 build haha but this took priority because Im ready to hit...
These graphics can eat my arse. So long suckers
Now that I think about it, this thing is a little bit long don’t you think? I’ll cut it with a samurai sword. Everyone knows that length doesn’t count… it’s the girth that makes a hot-dog delicious.
Measure once, cut 7 times. That’s how most people do it… right?
Welcome to the swamp! Jesus this thing was heavy in the rear! Weighed 98 pounds completely bare without hood. If I’m doing this, I’m gonna do it right. These corroded lines and silicone holding them in has to go!
Now let’s...
Been waiting to pick up an aftermarket surf ski for a while now and finally found what I was looking for… or so I thought. An Aussie built Predator was on my list and this one looked real nice in the photos! I made a deal with the seller and had it shipped. In total with shipping I was paying...
Also if you are able to reproduce these, change the spacing on the studs to fit a normal Mikuni! These are spaced for the WetJet carb and if you don't have it, you've got to mill out your mounting holes on a regular 46.
Yes it would work. If you just sand the hole smooth on the outside and tape it off, then you could fill it from the inside with thickened epoxy and 1 layer of glass. That would be a much better repair in my opinion. But I guess a metal plate would work if you wanted to be able to change it back.
Dang, I never thought of that! That would work great. I also ordered another silicone hose, it’s ID is slightly larger than the OD of my exhaust hose. I was going to sleeve that section and not worry about it. I check my stuff like every time I ride haha. The hose is also a tight fit over the...
That is actually the new RRP internal fill tank. I have a Cold Fusion in my Superjet but those are discontinued, So I saw these and decided to give it a try. I really like the fit, it fits very well in this FX-1, but I will need to move my battery box/ make a plate that relocates it slightly...
