You're probably ok with pump gas. 190 lbs is usually considered the ceiling for safe operation with pump gas. I try to stay around 185 just to be safe.

I think impros might have a hooker for the FX-1 now. Dave mentioned it to me a while back but I've never heard of anybody trying it. Most FX-1 enthusiasts opt for the 144 pump.

I got a 95. Pretty much stock besides the factory pipe and handling mods. I'll get around to a pump mod one of these days.

I ride the stock pump with a solas prop on mine and its ok for lake freeriding, as long as its smooth water. It hates the chop. Ideally, you want to convert the pump as suggested, but thats not to say that its no fun with the stock pump. If you put a pipe in there, you'll also need to raise...

Now that you say that, why do they stick the ground connection in such a difficult spot? I guess this goes for any 701. WTF?

Dont be surprised if this one comes back. Electrical problems rarely fix themselves. You said you get the click, so you may be ruling out the solenoid. Sometimes the contacts inside the solenoid wont pass enough current to get the starter turning. Its happened to me.

The contact cement from Hydroturf works well for turfing. Obviously real footholds are much better, but they take a little hull work to install. Its not very difficult to do, you just have to decide if you want to hack up your ski or not. Its well worth the time and money.

If you think your engine is fine, then there has to be something wrong with the pump, or something on the driveline (i.e. stripped driveshaft splines).

OK, seriously, you have a pump. Its the whole assembly around and including the impellor. If you get something stuck in there, or if the impellor blades or stator veins are damaged it can cause this. Also, if the seal between any of the pump sections is bad this can happen. Its called...
